Director Anurag Basu has been talking about the sequel to his 2007 hit Life in a Metro for quite some time now. He has been approaching actors and the latest on his list is Sidharth Malhotra. The director, along with producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, has approached Sidharth to play a pivotal role in the sequel.
A leading tabloid reported, “Anurag zeroed in on Sidharth Malhotra for the role. The two met recently for a narration. While the actor has liked the script, he has to sign on the dotted line.” Before narrating it to Sidharth, Anurag approached Arjun Kapoor for the same role. However, the actor had to turn down the offer due to his unavailability of dates.
Arjun has wrapped the shooting for Namaste England with Parineeti Chopra and has started working for Raj Kumar Gupta’s India’s Most Wanted. Next, in line, he has Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat, alongside Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. And thus, the actor has a hectic schedule until next year.
