Designer Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena announce trial separation in their marriage

Renowned designer Masaba Gupta, daughter of actress Neena Gupta and West Indian cricket legend Vivian Richards, had tied the knot with producer Madhu Mantena in a court marriage in Mumbai on June 2, 2015. However, the couple planned a three day celebration with family and friends in November in the same year. From Masaba's unconventional choice of bridal wear to the grand reception, their wedding generated a lot of buzz.
But now in a rather unfortunate news, the couple has announced a trial separation in their marriage, after being together for around three years. Masaba took to Instagram to share the joint statement, which stated that they have taken this decision after consulting with professionals and parents.

In the statement, Masaba has shared how they have both decided to take some time off from each other to figure out what they want out of this life. She further requested everyone to give them the much-needed privacy in these tough times and stated that their own well-being and protection apart from that of their families, is their own priority at this time.

The acclaimed designer added that they "still hope to find reconciliation" and said, "we are not strong enough to explain ourselves to even friends who deserve an answer from us.... All we can say to them is to give us time and to give us love when we reach out to you."

Well, we certainly hope they sort their differences out.
While Masaba is a well-known name in the Indian fashion circuit and is the owner of House Of Masaba, producer Madhu Mantena is one of the four owners of Phantom Films along with Anurag basu, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane. He has produced films like NH10, Queen, Shaandaar, Udta Punjab and Trapped, among others.
