Akshay Kumar is all set to foray into the South film industry and collaborate with superstar Rajinikanth in S Shankar's 2.0. The film, touted to be India's costliest, is a sequel to Robot (Enthiran in Tamil), released in 2010. It will feature Rajinikanth reprising his popular character of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti. Akshay plays the role of the antagonist named Richard. 2.0 also stars Singh is Bling actress Amy Jackson as the leading lady.
With an immense buzz around the film already, the makers have now added to the excitement by disclosing the film's teaser release date. The teaser, which was earlier slated to be out on Independence Day this year, will now be out on September 13.
Talking to a leading South newspaper, 2.0 director S Shankar said, "Rajinikanth asked me not to publish the teaser at this time when the Kerala people are in a dilemma. So, the Teaser launch ceremony was postponed. 2.0 teaser will now be released on September 13, Vinayagar Chaturthi."
Isn't this some fabulous news?

While the first look and the audio of the film have already created waves of excitement, fans are eagerly awaiting a visual treat. Going by the first look, the official making-of videos and the BTS pics, director Shankar's film appears to be about radiation caused due to mobile phone usage and its side effects.
In fact, the film grabbed a lot of attention lately as several conjectures were being made about the film's release date, considering the delay-after-delay due to the non-delivery of the VFX. But it was recently announced that the film will eventually hit the silver screens on November 29 this year. However, there is a clash that will happen at the box office because Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath is releasing on November 30.
