Abhishek Bachchan has finally addressed a question on Dhoom 4. Like, finally. The 42-year-old actor played the role of a cop in the first three installments of the Dhoom series and responded to a question about Shah Rukh Khan being roped in as the villain in the fourth part.
John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan were cast as villains in the first three parts respectively while several quarters have been insisting that SRK is next in line for the role in Dhoom 4. Abhishek, however, told a news agency that he isn’t in favour of believing in rumours as such unless producer Aditya Chopra confirms the news himself.
"Till Adi (Aditya Chopra) doesn’t tell me, I would not believe any of the rumours,” Abhishek told the news agency.
In November, Shah Rukh had interacted with the press on his birthday and was also asked whether he had signed Dhoom 4, to which he had said: “No, that is not true. Adi had told me about the project but I told him that till December I am occupied.”
So, for now, all that we can do is wait and watch for an official confirmation from Aditya Chopra.
Abhishek, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of his new film Manmarziyaan after which he will begin work on Gulab Jamun, co-starring his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

"Gulab Jamun is a script that both Aishwarya and I agreed to do. We are looking forward to it. But we are still figuring out when to do it,” Abhishek told the agency.
Manmarziyaan casts Abhishek onscreen after a hiatus of two years. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Manmarziyaan is a love story set in Punjab and co-stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to release on September 14.
