Jimmy Sheirgill to star in Iulia Vantur’s debut film instead of Randeep Hooda

A few weeks ago PeepingMoon.com had shared that Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur is all set to make her Bollywood debut in a film soon. Iulia has already sung for Salman’s film Race 3 and is apparently at ease in front of the camera. The film titled Radha Kyun Gori Main Kyun Kaala will be helmed by Prem Soni and expected to go in floors towards the end of 2018. Iulia was supposed to star opposite Randeep Hooda but now as per industry reports Jimmy Sheirgill has stepped in to fill his shoes.

Apparently, Randeep did not want to trim his hair and beard for the role in Iulia’s film as he is maintaining that look for his next project, Battle of Saragarhi. Soni, who is helming this film, had previously directed Salman-Kareena Kapoor starrer Main Aur Mrs. Khanna in 2009 and after that Preity Zinta’s Ishkq in Paris in 2013. The film as yet is untitled but is believed to be inspired from true events and revolves around the rape of a foreigner in India by a cab driver. Most probably the story will be set in Goa where a number of such horrific cases were registered.

It remains to be seen what role Jimmy will be playing in the film. We hope that he gets to play the positive male lead and finally gets the girl in this film at least. On the work front, Jimmy’s last release Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi starring Sonakshi Sinha, Piyush Mishra, Jassie Gill and Diana Penty has received a lukewarm response at the box office. Although not much time has elapsed, the film can do a decent business in the weeks to come. Meanwhile, Iulia who sang the song Selfish in Race 3 which was a duet with Atif Aslam will also be lending her voice to her debut film.
