For one of the scenes, prominently shown in the song Chaav Laaga, both Varun's and Anushka's characters were required to travel atop a moving bus. Director Sharat Katariya wanted the scene to look as real as possible and showcased their travelling by a local transport in peak hours in its truest form.
In the video, Varun can be seen describing how Sharat had instructed the other actors to make it difficult for him to get on the bus. So when they enacted the scene, Varun had to get into an overcrowded bus and there was a lot of aggressive pushing. The video also sees Varun talking about how he had to even chase the bus. When the scene was eventually wrapped up after 10 takes, Varun threw up on the road but he claims that it was worth it since the scene is integral to Mauji's and Mamta’s journey.
Sui Dhaaga - Made in India is a special salute to the inherent entrepreneurial spirit that the youth of India and our local artisans have. The Yash Raj Films’ entertainer is set to release on September 28 this year, just before Gandhi Jayanti.
