Karan Johar's all-time favourite actor is a Kapoor and not a Khan, find out

Karan Johar is one of the renowned filmmakers in the Bollywood film industry. After making his debut as a director in 1998 with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji, KJo went onto delivering several hits including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and My Name is Khan.
To say the least, Shah Rukh is not only a common factor in all his films but is Karan's close friend as well. So it would not be wrong to consider that SRK might be his favourite actor. But to our surprise, he is not and in fact, a Kapoor is Karan's all-time favourite actor!
In a recent interview with a leading magazine, the filmmaker indeed surprised everyone with his answer when he was asked about his all-time favourite actor in Bollywood by replying that it will be "Ranbir (Kapoor) because he’s just phenomenal."
Well, sorry SRK, it looks like Ranbir's acting prowess has etched a permanent mark in Karan's heart. For the unversed, the filmmaker has directed Ranbir in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil while Dharma Productions has bankrolled Ranbir's other films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Wake Up Sid. The duo is all set to collaborate again in Brahmastra, which is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and Karan is equally excited to work with Ranbir again.
Meanwhile, Karan also talked about the Bollywood newcomers in the film fraternity. On being prodded about any actress making to his favourite list, he quipped, "I would say Kiara Advani is a girl that I’ve discovered as an amazing acting resource. I really think that Ishaan Khatter is very talented. I’m really excited to see how Janhvi (Kapoor) and Sara (Ali Khan)’s careers unfold."

On a related note, the ace filmmaker also admitted during the interview that nepotism does exist in Bollywood just like other industries and added, "Yes, it gives you access and it gives you the privilege of your first opportunity, but if you fall or fail, you will be out."
