Janhvi Kapoor has garnered massive fan following and appreciation from critics after her debut film Dhadak, so much so that months after its release, she signed Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht. But it just doesn’t stop at that. If a report in a leading website is to be believed, Janhvi has also given her nod to play the role of the first woman IAF Chopper Pilot Gunjan Saxena in a film, which will be produced by Karan’s Dharma Productions.
Several quarters reported last year that Karan was planning to make a biopic on Gunjan Saxena but no official confirmation regarding its cast was made available.
The website, in the meantime, acquired an exclusive photograph of Janhvi and Gunjan while it appears that the 21-year-old actress has been spending time with the pilot in order to prepare for her role.
Gunjan is one of the first Indian women to fly a chopper while she also evacuated injured Indian soldiers from Kargil in 1999. Despite facing enemy fire, Gunjan along with flight lieutenant Srividya Rajan managed to rescue the soldiers.
Neither Janhvi nor Karan has so far confirmed this report. So, in order to know the truth behind it, you must watch this space.

Moreover, if Janhvi at all has been roped in for the film – this project will be her third one with Dharma Productions after Dhadak and Takht.
Dhadak, which released in July, cast Ishaan Khatter opposite Janhvi and the film not only fared well at the box office but also impressed critics.
To be directed by Karan, Takht features Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor apart from Janhvi. It is expected to begin filming in September 2019.
