AndhaDhun title track: Raftaar’s rap from Ayushmann-Tabu-Radhika film will jolt you out of your reverie

The trailer of Sriram Raghavan’s AndhaDhun left us gasping for more and now the first track that just dropped has piqued our interest more in the film. Titled AndhaDhun, this track is superbly composed and penned by Raftaar and Girish Nakod. Raftaar has also lent his vocals for the song. The lead actors of the film Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte feature in this song and the video, the music and the lyrics will definitely jolt you out of your reverie. The title track strikes the right chord for this murder-mystery.

The video of the song begins with Ayushmann playing the piano with soft lilting music but gradually the song takes a more energetic and upbeat turn with percussions and hard-hitting lyrics that question everything right from judiciary to the system. Raftaar and Girish’s lyrics are superb and you get to hear such gems like, “Koi na bhonkega, maine daal di sabko haddi” (meaning I bribed everyone hence no one will speak the truth now) and, “Kanoon ke pass jo jayega woh andha ho ke aayega” (whoever goes asking for justice from the judiciary returns home blind).

Raghavan’s AndhaDhun looks like an edge-of-the-seat thriller and if this title track is anything to go by then the film definitely looks promising. Also, the director’s past works such as Badlapur and Ek Haseena Thi was hard-hitting, gripping and remarkable so AndhaDhun definitely has a lot of expectations to live up to. Also, the cast of the film comprising of Tabu, Radhika and Ayushmann generally bring good films to the table driven with quality content so our hopes are pinned on this one.

On the work front, Ayushmann was last seen in Shubh Mangal Savdhaan whereas Tabu was last seen in Missing. Tabu will also be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat alongside Salman Khan. On the other hand, Radhika has been busy with her web project Sacred Games, Ghoul and Lust Stories on Netflix. AndhaDhun is slated to release on October 5.
