Zain Kapoor, Shahid's and Mira’s son gets pitted against Taimur, internet loves the name

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have been blessed with a baby boy and while the couple who has a two-year-old daughter already feels like veterans this time around, it is their fans who just can’t keep calm. The minute the news of their second child born on September 5, came in the couple was flooded with congratulatory messages.

Today, Shahid took to his Twitter account and announced the name of his son, Zain Kapoor. He wrote, “Zain Kapoor is here and we feel complete. Thank you for all the wishes and blessings. We are overjoyed and so grateful. Love to all." As soon as the announcement was made Twitterati couldn’t stop expressing their joy and happiness at the chosen name and there were quite a few who already started drawing comparisons between Zain and Taimur Ali Khan.

Zain is an Arabic name which means grace and beauty, and unlike Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur’s name the netizens have given their thumbs up to Zain. Previously, in an interview, talking about her second baby’s name, Mira had said, “We haven't decided the name of the baby yet. In fact, we are open to all suggestions. Misha’s name was Shahid's selection. So, this time, I might get to select the name.”

Misha is a combination of Mira and Shahid’s name but looks like Zain is mommy dearest's choice. Well, it is surely a winner because everyone including us totally loves it.

Shahid and Mira have been flooded with congratulatory messages from their Bollywood colleagues like Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Preity Zinta, Sonam Kapoor and Pragya Yadav. The netizens also sent their love to the couple and the baby boy.

On the work front, Shahid is looking forward to the release of his forthcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shraddha Kapoor. The film also stars Yami Gautam and Divyendu Sharma in pivotal roles. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh the film will release on September 21.
