Deepika Padukone has been on a well-thought-out sabbatical from work since the release of her magnum opus Padmaavat. The actress has not even signed any film as of now. In a recent interview with a leading magazine, the actress said that it is important to replenish emotionally and take a break for her career as she feels it helps in the long run. Deepika made quite a few revelations during the interview, one of the major being, that it was Ranbir Kapoor who first called her a tease on her face.
The interview was conducted by not any journalist but leading choreographer and director Farah Khan who had launched Deepika in her film Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan. During the course of the interview, Farah told Deepika that she is amazed by the fact that how clear Deepika is about what she wants to do in life. To this Deepika quickly replied with, “Irrespective of whether it’s the unanimous opinion.”
Farah then asked the actress, “Do you feel that way about your love life also?” To this question, Deepika said, “My mother feels not. I wouldn’t say impulsive. But I am extremely emotional. I’m fully ruled by my heart.”
Farah asked Deepika whether she sees herself as a tease and the actress surprised by saying, “That’s what Ranbir Kapoor says. He’s the first person who had the guts to tell me that to my face.” Apparently, Ranbir had said this during the promotions of their film Tamasha.
Ranbir and Deepika had dated for quite a few years during their early days in the industry and made headlines with their unabashed PDA. Deepika even had Ranbir’s initials ‘RK’ tattooed on the back of her neck but the couple soon headed for a splitsville.
Deepika is now happily in a steady relationship with Ranveer Singh and the two are reportedly getting married this year on November 20, whereas Ranbir is currently dating his Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt.
