Arjun Kapoor is basking in the glory that the trailer of his forthcoming film Namaste England has brought to him. The young actor is once again teaming up with his Ishaqzaade co-star Parineeti Chopra opposite whom he made his Bollywood debut in the film. Arjun has also received a lot of love from his fans and well-wishers especially the way he conducted himself in the wake of his step-mother Sridevi’s demise and the way he supported his bereaved father Boney Kapoor and half-sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Anshuka Kapoor. Since then the bond between the siblings have improved a lot and Arjun is playing the elderly brother role with aplomb, whether it is sharing Raksha Bandhan messages for his sisters or supporting and giving a shoutout to Janhvi for her debut in Dhadak.
In a recent interview to a leading daily the actor spoke highly of Janhvi and called her a sensible girl who has everything sorted in her head and conducts herself with dignity. Applauding Janhvi, Arjun told the daily, “All these are important attributes for a good actor. None of us starts out being perfect, I didn’t, but in Janhvi’s case the foundation is strong, she’ll build on that and get better with every film. I see tremendous potential; Dhadak was just the tip of the iceberg.”
Arjun was impressed with Janhvi’s performance in the film, especially post-interval when she’s fighting with her husband Ishaan Khatter and becomes a mother. “She’s very young and it was her first film, but I saw nuances you’d expect from someone more mature. When Janhvi was on screen, you couldn’t take your eyes off her,” shared the elder sibling. He reiterates that Dhadak was the right launch for her and the film’s stupendous success at the box office proves that both she and Ishaan have been accepted by the audience.
Talking about Janhvi’s personality and what the family thinks of her Arjun said, “She’s an introvert and needs time to come out of her shell. We are really proud of her and while as a family our reasons are emotional, I can say as an actor that Janhvi Kapoor is here to stay.” Well, isn’t that nice? Janhvi is really lucky to have her elder brother repose such confidence and faith in her acting abilities.
