Ranveer Singh’s forthcoming cop drama Simmba which is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan opposite him got its release date. Karan Johar who is producing the film under his Dharma Productions banner in collaboration with Rohit took to his social media account to reveal the date of the film. The film is slated for a December 28, 2018, release.

Karan shared an adorably cute picture of himself with Ranveer, Sara and Rohit and captioned it as, “Bone crushing love on the sets of #SIMMBA! The brilliant and epic combination of @itsrohitshetty and @ranveersingh ! The introduction of the stunning @saraalikhan95 and the madness and magic of the film!this has been such a super journey!!!! The film’s shoot was happening at Hyderabad and Rohit and Ranveer kept the audience’s interest by sharing videos and pictures from the sets of the film. Rohit even managed to get a custom-made Nutella cake for his lead actor on his birthday. Ranveer is playing the role of a cop called Sangram Bhalerao and the film is the quintessential masala entertainer on the lines of Rohit’s Singham films that starred Ajay Devgn in the lead. Sara will also be seen in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath which has Sushant Singh Rajput as the male lead.
