Ever since Ishaan Khatter starred in a leading role in Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds, critics and fans applauded his acting prowess. But in his journey, Ishaan’s brother Shahid Kapoor has been there throughout as his friend, philosopher, and guide, and of course, a massive source of support.
Shahid, in fact, is quite confident about Ishaan’s career and in an interview with a leading daily, also spoke about the possibility of working with him in a film. Asked whether he has been approached with scripts for himself and Ishaan, Shahid said that it might actually turn out to be a difficult task. The script, to begin with, has to be interesting of course for Ishaan and Shahid to star in it.

The 37-year-old actor, however, didn’t rule out the possibility of a film with Ishaan and said that he might do one with him in the future.
“It will be difficult to find one. When I started acting, I wanted to work with my dad if an opportunity came and both of us find it interesting. Shaandaar brought us together as did Dad's film, Mausam. Ishaan and I might do a movie together in the future, but there is nothing concrete on that as yet,” Shahid told the daily.
Ishaan is the son of Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khattar. Shahid is Azeem's son with her former husband, actor Pankaj Kapur. The 22-year-old actor appeared as a child artiste in Shahid’s 2005 film Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! before Beyond The Clouds and subsequently starred opposite Janhvi Kapoor in July’s Dhadak.
Even for his role in Dhadak, Ishaan has garnered rave reviews and Shahid, in fact, is very hopeful that his brother will continue doing so in the future as well. However, Shahid does have a certain concern as he hopes that Ishaan has done his background research well and understands the nuances of making a career in films.
“I never ceased to worry about Ishaan. I was always thinking — I hope he has done his homework and understands what it takes to become an actor,” Shahid added.
Workwise, Shahid is gearing up for the release of his new film Batti Gul Meter Chalu on September 21. After its release, he will begin work on the Hindi remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy.
