Mira Rajput’s strong message on breastfeeding is a must read for new moms

It is a delightful phase for Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput as the couple welcomed their second child together, son Zain, on September 5. In order to ensure the best for her children, Mira, in fact, strictly abides by certain rules, should we say, and at no cost, is willing to compromise on them. Breastfeeding, for example. Every mother should feed their new-born babies, Mira said, explaining the importance of it, during an interview with a leading entertainment website.

Before Zain’s birth, Mira had said that breastfeeding is the “greatest gift” from mothers to their children. “I have spoken about the importance of feeding the baby in the past too. I was extremely religious with Misha and I am going to do the same with my newborn. It is the greatest gift you can give your baby,” Mira told the portal.

During her interview, Mira also shared valuable advice for new mothers as she said that it is important for them to maintain their healthy lifestyle - to “be happy and eat well”. The right amount of sleep is required as well for new mothers is what Mira stressed upon.

“Also important is to sleep whenever the kids allow you to because that will no more be in your own hand,” Mira added.

Shahid married Delhi-based Mira in a private ceremony in Gurgaon in 2015 while a grand reception was hosted for his friends and colleagues in Mumbai after the wedding.

Shahid, star of films Ishq Vishk, Vivah, Jab We Met, Kaminey, Haider and Padmaavat, will be seen next in Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, is scheduled to release on September 21. After its release, Shahid will begin work on the Hindi remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy.
