The first posters of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Kesari have been released online and we cannot wait for the film already. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is a war drama based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against the Afghans in 1897. In the posters that were made available online, Akshay stars as a Sikh warrior as he wields a gun in the air with his clan and puts up an intense expression along with the rest.
His look in the posters of Kesari is impressive as Akshay, in a khaki uniform, sports a heavy beard and an orange turban. “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari...Jo bahega mera woh lahu bhi Kesari... Aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari,” is the tagline of Kesari. September 12 is commemorated as Saragarhi Day and as a tribute to the martyrs, Akshay released the first set of posters of his film.

Ever since the first look of Akshay from Kesari was released, his fans were delighted with it while several were of the opinion that the orange turban suits him to perfection. The 51-year-old actor was equally proud about the fact as he had said during an event in March that every time he wears the taaj (turban) on his head, he is “filled with pride”.
Akshay has collaborated with filmmaker Karan Johar's Dharma Productions for Kesari. The film co-stars Parineeti Chopra.
Kesari is scheduled to release on March 21, 2019.
