The pious and joyous festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is here and the streets of Maharashtra are full of Ganpati pandals. Devotees are bringing the elephant lord into their homes and thronging the neighbourhood pandal with the chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya. Nowadays people have become very concerned about the environment and many people including celebs are resorting and advocating the use of eco-friendly Lord Ganesha idols. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi have taken the use of eco-friendly Ganesha idols one step further. In an Instagram post, Anushka shared how one can make bio-degradable Ganpati with only threads.
Varun and Anushka who are awaiting the release of their film Sui Dhaaga – Made in India have been promoting the film with many novel strategies and ideas. This time around they shared a video wherein the two showed how a biodegradable Ganpati idol can be made using Sui and Dhaaga. Anushka wrote, “Celebrating this auspicious occasion with a beautiful eco-friendly Bappa made with Dhaaga #GaneshChaturthi @varundvn.”

The entire team of the film made the Lord Ganesha idol using threads and the finished product is beyond belief. The film’s trailer has already created the right buzz amongst the audience with even a meme on Anushka going viral.
Sui Dhaaga-Made in India is based on the entrepreneurial spirit and the government of India’s initiative Made in India. The film releases on September 28.
