Ever since the news of Sidharth Malhotra to be a part Anurag Basu's Life in a Metro sequel started doing the rounds, the fans were excited to see the star sharing the screen space with the vivacious Taapsee Pannu, who was said to be cast opposite him in the project. But looks like that's not on the cards anymore as Sid has reportedly opted out of the project.

When asked, a source informed a publication," Sid is not a part of the project anymore. He was supposed to be paired opposite Taapsee Pannu and theirs was a funny love story. But now, the filmmakers will have to look for another younger actor to star in his place."

Well looks like Anurag Basu is on a lead-hunt yet again. Before Sidharth, Arjun Kapoor was approached for the role, but due to previous commitments and unavailability of dates, he too couldn't get on board.

Ah, the wait feels longer with every passing minute. We wonder who will be the next ideal lead according to Basu.

On the work front, Sidharth is currently working for Jabriya Jodi alongside Parineet Chopra. The duo is set to share screen space yet again with this Balaji Telefilms production post Hasee Toh Phasee.
