Actor Sumeet Vyas married his longtime girlfriend Ekta Kaul in a private ceremony in Jammu on September 15 and his life couldn’t get any better, he said in an interview with a leading daily after the wedding. Sumeet and Ekta married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in the presence of close friends and family.
Life after marriage is absolutely great for Sumeet, no doubt, but it is certainly different. Sumeet, in fact, also admitted during his interview that he was completely floored after Ekta, dressed as a bride, appeared in front of him.

“It feels very different today because Ekta is dressed up like a new bride. This morning she told me it didn’t feel like we have spent much time together. I hope she meant that in a good way,” Sumeet told the daily.
Speaking of the wedding, Sumeet said that the festivities spanned over a period of three days. “First the mehendi, followed by the sangeet and then the shaadi at a newly-opened venue. The locals were really nice and made it special for us. I like working with people who are good at heart,” Sumeet added.
Sumeet and Ekta, however, will continue with their hectic work schedule after marriage as well and will begin shooting in Mumbai. The honeymoon, thus, has to wait. “We return to Mumbai on Monday and start on our respective shoots immediately,” Sumeet said.
Sumeet is best known for his appearance in the web series Permanent Roommates. He also starred opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding apart from featuring in the films Parched and English Vinglish.
Ekta is a television actress and appeared in the shows Rab Se Sohna Isshq and Mere Angne Mein.
