Ayushmann Khurrana burst on the silver screen with his debut film Vicky Donor in 2012. The actor impressed everyone with his acting chops and made every filmmaker knock on his door. However, Ayushmann may have been basking in professional glory but he was weathering some personal storms as well. There were rumours that his wife Tahira Kashyap was upset about his kissing scenes with co-star Yami Gautam in the film.

Recently, Ayushmann during a media conversation confirmed the rumours and said, “Of course, she was. I was wanted by everyone (after Vicky Donor became a hit). We were also going through a rough patch. She was not ready for all this.” Ayushmann further added, “She did not want me to kiss on screen. You see, we are like the first boyfriend and girlfriend of each other as we fell in love at a very young age."

However, Ayushmaan adds that his wife has become more mature now in handling such situations. He further said, “But Tahira is also an artiste. She has grown tremendously. I was very immature when I married. Plus, we had a long-distance marriage (Tahira stayed in Chandigarh) for the longest time. I am glad that things are good now."

Tahira and Ayushmann have been married for eight years and are parents to two children. On the work front, Ayushmann will be next seen in Sriram Raghavan’s murder mystery AndhaDhun that also stars Radhika Apte and Tabu. He will also be seen in Badhai Ho opposite Sanya Malhotra. On the other hand, Tahira will be debuting as a director with a warm slice-of-life drama set in Mumbai that will go into production early next year.
