Has Rajkummar Rao hiked his fee after the success of Stree?

Rajkummar Rao is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in Bollywood and has carved a niche for himself with films like Shahid, Newton and Trapped, among others. Moreover, his recent release Stree, also starring Shraddha Kapoor, has not only met with rave reviews from the audience and critics alike but also went on to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore mark at the box-office.

If a recent report in a leading daily is to be believed, the actor has hiked his fee after the success of the horror-comedy. Rajkummar's decision to cash in on his popularity by increasing his remuneration comes at a time of his new-found stardom. Well, who wouldn't want to make hay, while the sun shines.

Meanwhile, Stree marked Rajkummar's shift to light-hearted cinema and he impressed his fans with the role of a tailor in the project as well. Speaking about him, producer Dinesh Vijan had previously said, "Raj is a versatile and highly credible actor. He has done a fabulous job in Stree. When he was working on that film, we narrated this concept to him and let’s just say he refused to let it go!" To say the least, Rajkummar is perhaps a Bollywood actor who's unconventional and commercial at the same time.

On the work front, the actor has already started working on his next film Made in China. The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan, also stars Mouni Roy in the lead. Apart from that, he will also be seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Mental Hai Kya. Rajkummar is geared up to reunite with director Hansal Mehta as well in Turram Khan, a social comedy starring Nushrat Bharucha.
