Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is celebrating his 70th birthday today and the filmmaker has given a gift to not only his fans, colleagues and peers but also to his family members as well by returning to direction after 19 long years with Sadak 2. Today, on his birthday he received some heartfelt and adorable birthday wishes from wife Soni Razdan and daughters Pooja Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Alia Bhatt.
Bhatt is back behind the camera with the sequel to his 1991 hit Sadak. Sadak 2 will star Alia, Pooja, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. While Pooja and Alia shared adorable birthday messages and wrote that Mahesh had given them a present on his 70th birthday by turning to direction once again and directing them, it was Shaheen and Soni’s birthday messages which bore testimony the fact that the filmmaker breathes and lives cinema.
Soni wrote, “Happy Birthday to my champion. Of champions. My dose of fresh air every day. My source of all things bright and beautiful. Here’s wishing you a Very Happy 70th Birthday darling. The best is yet to come. This picture says it all. Love.”

Shaheen even shared a throwback video from her childhood where she is seen sitting on Bhatt’s lap and jumping. The video is really cute and adorable and is a testimony to the fact that Mahesh must be a very doting father to his children.
