Indications are that Hrithik Roshan, whose last film was Sanjay Gupta’s revenge drama Kaabil in January 2017, has given his nod to Rohit Dhawan’s third shot at direction. Rohit, who is filmmaker David Dhawan’s son and superstar Varun Dhawan’s brother, burst on the scene as a director with the comedy-drama Desi Boyz in 2011 starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. He followed this up with the action-adventure-comedy Dishoom in 2016 starring John again with brother Varun. Then Rohit disappeared and was said to be working on a superhero film that he planned for 2019. It is reportedly a big budget film being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala who earlier produced Dishoom.
Now PeepingMoon.com sources say that Hrithik is doing this film and working out dates for the shoot. Rohit had reportedly approached Hrithik to play the lead a few months ago and Hrithik requested a few changes in the script. The two are friends and made plans to work together long ago. Rohit is believed to have started working on the first draft for this superhero film with a sci-fi twist after Dishoom released.

Hrithik has his hands full till 2020. He has just wrapped up Vikas Bahl’s biographical Super 30 based on mathematician Anand Kumar. He has also started working on Siddharth Anand’s action spectacle being produced by YRF that also stars Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. Soon after, he will start his home production Krrish 4 which is Diwali 2020 release. It might be possible that Hrithik will push Rohit’s film due to his tight schedule. Meanwhile, Rohit is considering Disha Patani as Hrithik’s leading lady. Her last film, Baaghi 2, was a massive hit and she bagged a pivotal role in Salman Khan’s Bharat after that in which she is playing a trapeze artiste in a 1960s circus.
