A fake video of Akshay Kumar has been circulating on the internet where his statements are made to look like he is commenting on the ongoing Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar sexual harassment controversy. Akshay has filed a complaint with the cyber crime cell of Mumbai Police regarding the said video that went viral on YouTube. Police officers and the actor’s spokesperson confirmed the complaint that was submitted on Friday at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police station.
Akshay said in his complaint that he had not made any such statements regarding the ongoing issue and the video is morphed and edited. Apparently, the video has been removed from the YouTube channel that uploaded it. A senior police official said that no complaint has been registered as of now.

A senior officer told a leading daily, “The narrative of the video was edited in a way that it looks like Kumar is expressing his views on the Dutta-Patekar controversy, which he never did. We tried to search the video on YouTube, but could not get it; probably it was blocked or removed. We have asked him to produce a copy of the video. The inquiry is going on."
The police said that Akshay noticed that the edited video could hamper his reputation in public. Apparently, the words spoken in the video was from a recent media interaction where he was asked about another actor. His complaint alleges that the quote was used in such a way that it looked as if he is speaking against Tanushree.

Nana is starring alongside Akshay in his upcoming film Housefull 4 and they have just wrapped up the Rajasthan schedule of the film. Akshay’s wife noted writer and former actress Twinkle Khanna was one of the first ones to support Tanushree on her allegations against Nana. She had called Tanushree a “brave woman” and applauded her for speaking up.

However, Tanushree had questioned her and Akshay at the time because the actor had not taken any stand and was still shooting and working with Nana.
