After MeToo allegations, Hotstar cancels On Air with AIB 3; Rohan Joshi confirms

In the light of recent sexual harassment charges against two of the founding members of All India Bakchod - Gursimran Khamba and Tanmay Bhatt, Hotstar announced on Monday that it was cancelling the production of third season of On Air with AIB. In a statement, Star India's streaming platform claimed that it "will not stand by anything that compromises the respect or safety of women."

For those caught unaware, AIB came under the line of fire when the comedy group issued an apology accepting the fact that Tanmay Bhat knew about the allegations against comedian Utsav Chakraborty. Later, in a ripple effect, both Tanmay and Gursimran were accused of mental harassment by an anonymous woman, who knew them personally. The accusations led to AIB asking Tanmay to step away from his association until further notice and placing Khamba on temporary leave of absence.
