In a shocking turn of events, Vinta Nanda, the writer-producer of 1984's hit TV series Tara, has accused popular TV actor, the Sanskari Alok Nath (Tara lead actor) of sexual harassment and rape, 19 years ago. Joining the #MeTooMovement, Vinta in a Facebook post shared her horrific story which has created a huge storm on the social media.
Now, Alok Nath has spoken about his side of the story with ABP, giving a startling reaction. Claiming that someone else must have done the same to her, he added, "Kuch to log kahenge. Neither I am denying this nor do I would agree with it. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it. Well, I do not want to talk much about it as for the matter if it has come out, it will be stretched."
That's not all. He only blamed Nanda of encashing in the current change of wave aka #MeToo movement in the industry. "However, we only have to hear to women's stand because they are considered weak," elaborated the actor, known for playing the ideal father in TV shows and films alike. But is Alok bothered by people's reaction to his tarnished image? "What do I have to do with people? People will say anything to spoil the image. Leave my image, whatever has been said, it is absurd."

As per the 'sanskaari' actor, it is useless to react to the allegations as "in today's world whatever a woman says, only that will be considered. In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything!"
To make things worse, Alok Nath claims that Vinta was his good friend and it was him who made her whatever she is!
