Tanushree Dutta ignited a Me Too movement in India recently after she accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment and misbehaviour on the sets of 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss. Since then, many big names from the film and television fraternity including Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Kailash Kher, have come under the line of fire for facing similar allegations.
However, the one incident that shook the entire nation was that of Alok Nath, who was accused of sexual harassment and rape by producer-writer Vinta Nanda. Apart from Vinta, her Tara lead star Navneet Nishan and actress Sandhya Mridul, also came forward alleging sexual misconduct at the hands of 'sanskaari' actor. Now in a recent development, we hear that Alok is planning to take a legal route against those who have put baseless allegations against him.
His lawyer Ashok Saraogi, during an interview with a leading channel, said, "Aloknath will file defamation case against those who have made allegation of sexual harassment against him" He also stated that the actor is not hiding anywhere that and further quipped that forget what happened last month or so, and hence Alok cannot say where he was 19 years ago.
Earlier too, the lawyer had claimed that his client is in mental trauma after these allegations and is not keeping well. He said that Alok Nath will hold a press conference to clear his name and answer the questions of the media once he recovers.
