The trailer of Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan gave the audience a glimpse of Vijay Krishna Acharya's upcoming magnum opus. Now adding to the excitement, the makers have been releasing BTS videos to depict the making of the film. In the previous two Thugs of Hindostan making videos, we saw how two mammoth ships were built for the shoot in Malta and the challenges the cast and the crew had to face while shooting on them.
Now in the third chapter titled Destroying the Ship, the makers showcase how the real-size were blown up for the climax shoot. In the video, Aamir, Amitabh, Vijay, and the team share how they got emotional when they had to part with the ships since they had shot on them for almost three months. Aamir also revealed how the destruction of the ship became a big new in Malta when they had to end their schedule.
The director further shared how earlier he had planned to do the climax scene with VFX but later changed his mind and exploded the ships for real. Last but not the least, production designer Sumit Basu pointed out that to "accept the ship would be destroyed, was disheartening for all."

Thugs of Hindostan is YRF’s one of the most expensive and elaborate films ever made. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles and is slated for a November 8 release.
