It is not unknown that Alankrita Shrivastava, of Lipstick Under my Burkha fame, had announced that she would be making her next film with Ekta Kapoor’s banner, Balaji Motion Pictures. Moreover, Peepingmoon.com recently informed you that Bhumi Pednekar has already joined the film's cast and will play one of the leads in the two-heroine dark comedy. And now we hear that after Bhumi, Konkana Sen Sharma has been roped in as the other lead in the female-centric drama.

A source close to the development informed a leading daily, "It’s about two women and their coming-of-age story which is set in Greater Noida. When Alankrita narrated the script, both Bhumi and Konkona loved it and immediately agreed to be a part of the project. They are presently prepping for the film and will start shooting from next week."

Meanwhile, the particular film has been in the making for long. While Bhumi was earlier supposed to star alongside Vidya Balan with Ashwini Iyer Tiwari directing it, but later Alankrita was asked to helm the film. With Alankrita on board eventually, several names including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were in the offing to play the lead roles. And now it looks like, it will be Bhumi and Konkana who will play the powerful and rebellious women.

The yet-untitled film is said to be a dark-comedy that will offer an interesting mix of comedy, emotions and drama. Well, we certainly cannot wait for this one!
