In the wake of the #MeToo movement in India, Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap has revealed that she had endured the wrath of a “torment” as well and “found solace” twenty years after the particular incident as she discussed it with her husband and parents.
Tahira, in a lengthy post, has written about her “childhood trauma” as she added that memories of the moment continued to haunt her until she communicated about it. In fact, she told Ayushmann and her folks about her harrowing experience after having her first child, son Virajveer, with the 34-year-old actor. It was like a “heavy load was off her chest,” she wrote in her post.
Moreover, Tahira added that “often the closest people especially the relatives in your life are the real creeps”. Because of the trauma, she wrote that physical touch scared her as well and even after she started dating Ayushmann, Tahira would “cry at every step of physical proximity”. But it was Ayushmann’s love and patience that healed her.

Tahira is Ayushmann’s childhood friend and apart from Virajveer, they also parent a daughter, Varushka. Ayushmann is currently gearing up for the release of his new film Badhaai Ho apart from basking in the glory of the success of his recent release Andhadhun.
The #MeToo movement in India was escalated by Tanushree Dutta’s accusation of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar where several women outed filmmakers and actors as well as alleged sexual predators. So far, Alok Nath, Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl and Rajat Kapoor have also been accused of sexual harassment.
