The #MeToo movement has become a force in India with every day new names being added to the already growing list of perpetrators. However, there are a few names which have been questionable as other people have come out in their defence. Deepika Padukone had said that #MeToo is not about gender. Adhyayan Suman took to Twitter to remind people that he was abused when he was in a relationship with Kangana Ranaut. On the other hand, Nushrat Bharucha wrote an open letter supporting Luv Ranjan in the #MeToo allegations that have been levied against him.
Adhyayan’s claim to fame has been his relationship with Kangana Ranaut. Now when the #MeToo movement is going on with full force in India he has posted a series of tweets saying that when he shared his #MeToo story about the physical and emotional abuse he suffered at the hands of Kangana he was shamed by people.

On the other hand, director Luv Ranjan who is also named as a sexual harasser by an anonymous woman had issued a statement. Now, actress Nushrat Bharucha has penned an open letter supporting the director and telling one and all that the #MeToo allegations against him are false and baseless. She vehemently expressed that she stands by Ranjan and he is a man of impeccable character.

In fact, Deepika Deshpande Amin who had also spoken about the misconduct of Alok Nath during her younger years took Ranjan’s name in her statement saying that when she teamed up again recently with Nath in Ranjan’s film, the actor did not try any hanky-panky probably because of Ranjan’s formidable and strict behaviour.
