Filmmaker Sajid Khan was among several Bollywood personalities that were named and shamed after the #MeToo movement escalated in India. While his sister Farah Khan and cousin Farhan Akhtar denied being aware of Sajid's behaviour, actress Dia Mirza, recently opened up on how she was aware of him being "obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous."
Speaking during an interview with a leading channel, the actress who had a cameo in Heyy Baby, said that although she knew how Sajid was but could not believe that he could stoop down to such level. "I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous. Even for me, the details of these accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even in the workplace," she added.
Citing Sajid's example, the Sanju actress further stated that such instances depict the deep-rooted patriarchy in Bollywood and pointed that more such names will come out in due course of time. "We often brush off certain kind of behaviour. But I wouldn’t have imagined that Sajid could be capable of doing this to a woman. I completely understand the shock people are feeling right now, but it would be unfair to say that the names that are coming out is shocking." she said.

Dia concluded by saying that although she has never been a victim of sexual harassment, she has lost out on work since she was "unwilling to succumb to this unspoken understanding of patriarchy."
Sajid Khan has been named as a serial sexual harasser and a creep for his sexual misconduct by actresses Saloni Chopra, Mandana Karimi and Rachel White apart from journalist Karishma Upadhyay.
