Mouni Roy has responded to a Twitter user through an angry tweet after he confidently claimed to have been aware of the fact that the actress was ‘sexually harassed’ by director Reema Kagti while filming Gold. “I was not harassed on the sets of Gold by anyone. Director or otherwise,” Mouni said in a fell tweet, denying the user’s assertion.
The conversation ensued between Mouni and the user on Konkona Sen Sharma’s post – one of the 11 women Indian filmmakers, who came together to support the #MeToo movement in India, saying they have taken a stand to not work with proven offenders. Alankrita Shrivastava, Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao, Konkona, Meghna Gulzar, Nandita Das, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti, Ruchi Narain, Shonali Bose and Zoya Akhtar are among the filmmakers who have taken the stand, according to a note circulated by them on social media.

Konkona was asked to do away with the “hypocrisy” by the user on her post as he openly stated the fact invoking Mouni in his tweet.
