The #MeToo movement escalated in India after Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss. While Mr Khan has opined on the #MeToo movement, indirectly even though, Salman has refrained from commenting on it to begin with. Asked about the controversy at an event, Salman effortlessly dodged the question.

“I am not aware of this. Let me know and understand what is happening. I have been here and I am sure that the legal team will handle that. We will see what is going on. I am not aware of it,” Salman had said.

Amidst the #MeToo movement, several women outed filmmakers and actors as well as alleged sexual predators. So far, Alok Nath, Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl and Rajat Kapoor have also been accused of sexual harassment.
