Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli gives befitting reply to those who said the actress spoke for publicity on #MeToo

Kangana Ranaut is one actress who never shies away from speaking her mind. She is also one of those celebrities who is loved and hated in equal measure. Unlike her contemporaries, she is always vocal and takes a stand on issues. In the ongoing #MeToo movement Kangana has stood by the women who have come forward to express their ordeal. She has also spoken about Vikas Bahl’s sexual misconduct and in turn got some brickbats from his wife. However, now Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel has come in support of her.

Since Kangana’s film Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi’s trailer was released during the time the #MeToo movement started many said that the actress is talking to create publicity. Although Kangana gave a befitting reply to Vikas’s wife Richa Dubey she has not actually come forward to take on the trollers. However, Rangoli took to her Twitter handle and berated all the trollers with one simple tweet.

Kangana’s statements on the #MeToo movement and the sexual harassment allegations levied against many people have received a mixed response on social media. Gauahar Khan was one of the voices who spoke against her and termed her a “feminist of convenience” and made no bones in saying that she’s “not the voice strong women need.”
