It is not unknown that casting director-turned-filmmaker Honey Trehan has roped in Nawazuddin Siddiqui for his directorial debut, titled Raat Akeli Hai. Moreover, there has been a strong buzz that Radhika Apte will be playing the leading lady in the film. And now if a report in a leading daily is to be believed, the actress has indeed been finalised for the upcoming project.
A source close to the development informed the daily, "It’s a love story set in the heartland of India. Honey was on the lookout for his leading lady for a while now and thought Radhika fit the part to the T," further adding, "Radhika and Honey have known each other for many years, while Nawaz and Radhika get along well, too. She loved the script and instantly gave her nod to the project." Apparently, the film will go on floors in January and the filmmaker is presently busy with the pre-production work.
