Karan Johar is going to be back on television with the sixth season of his popular chat show Koffee With Karan which will premiere tomorrow at 9 pm on Star World. The first episode will see Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone sharing the couch together. Karan is not only an ace filmmaker but also a doting father to his twins Yash and Roohi, who were born through surrogacy. Not many know that it was Deepika who was the first one to know that Karan had become a father through surrogacy.

The filmmaker revealed his confidante on his show Koffee With Karan and while many would think that he would tell such a momentous news to either his mother Hiroo Johar or best friend Shah Rukh Khan, it was Deepika who got the news first.

However, like a true friend she kept the news to herself and kept it a secret till Karan himself revealed about his twins. On the show, Karan revealed that in an emotional moment when he first came to know that he can take his babies home, Deepika called him at that moment itself and he could not help but share his heart-to-heart with her.

A source close to the show informed a leading daily, “Karan recalls that neither his mother Hiroo Johar nor his brother Shah Rukh Khan had any inkling about his parenthood plans. And until he himself announced it a couple of months later, Deepika was the only one who knew about it and kept her promise of not breathing a word to anyone.” Now, isn’t that great news?
