Known for doing performance-oriented roles, actress Chitrangda Singh feels she is under confident. Unlike her on-screen powerful roles of urban and confident women, she is an introvert and totally opposite of what she plays in her films.
While promoting her upcoming film Baazaar, she said, “I don’t think I have ever been a confident person all my life. While growing up also, I was pretty introvert. My dad used to say, tie to your mother’s apron string. In fact, my brother was the opposite. He was the complete extrovert. I see a lot of people who are very sure about things around them, I am not. I always have a lot of doubts and questions. I see too many faults in my own performances so I don’t go to see the monitor. Funnily, I haven’t seen Baazaar yet. Gauravv (director) is behind me to see it.”

Talking further about her role in Baazaar, Chitrangda said that her role in the film is the only one which is pure, unlike Saif, Rohan or Radhika who are ambitious and greedy.

Talking about her role in the film, she said, “The exciting or challenging part of my role in Baazaar was that as you see the film, you will realise that how my character becomes important to the whole game at the end of the film. My character is the only pure one in the film, rest others are murkier. For her, money is not as important as others since she was born with it. It was like to get some dignity and strength to the character without having the flashy dialogues. Nikkhil (Advani) just wanted me to carry the grace in my role which stands up to her husband Shakun Kothari played by Saif Ali Khan.”
Baazaar is directed by Gauravv K Chawla and is slated to release on October 26, 2018.
