The Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster, Arjun Reddy, has created a huge buzz among the audience ever since it was announced. The edgy love story, helmed by Sandeep Vanga, will feature Kiara Advani as the female lead opposite Shahid. Moreover, there has been a lot of speculation about the film's title and now we hear that it has been titled Kabir Singh.
After keeping the film’s title very closely guarded over the last two months, Sandeep revealed it by saying, "When we started work on the Hindi script, it was a very exciting journey. Kabir Singh, as the protagonist’s name, came naturally, considering the character’s graph. Kabir Singh has the same punch and madness of Arjun Reddy.” Furthermore, a source informed a leading daily, "The protagonist is a Punjabi like Shahid who is best suited for the part because he emulates both power and vulnerability."

Apparently, the film will depict four phases of the protagonist’s life, beginning as a college-goer and then turning into a professional, followed by a phase of self-destruction and reformation. Hence, Shahid will sport four different looks in the film and has been preparing for it over the last three months by growing his hair and beard.
Meanwhile, the film which went on floors from October 21, will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi and Musoorie. Workshops with all the actors are right now in full swing, confirmed Sandeep by stating, "It’s all about taking Kabir Singh to the next level." The cast will be joined by Kiara in the first week of November.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, Kabir Singh is slated to release on June 21, 2019.
