The wait is over as the teaser of Sara Ali Khan’s debut film Kedarnath has been released and from the very beginning to the end of the 1.39-minute clip, she is spectacular in every sequence, to say the least. More on this later and before we shift focus to Sara, allow us to remind you that 2018 has been a remarkable year as far as star kids’ debut films are concerned. Magic is what we witnessed in veteran actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s first film Dhadak and magic is what we will seemingly witness in Sara’s debut as well.
Sara’s big debut will be expectedly compared to Janhvi's because it's Bollywood, guys. Come on! But lesser mortals as such will clearly agree that it will be a tough choice to make. Why? Because both Janhvi and Sara made a magnificent appearance in their respective trailers – not only because it's in their blood but also for the immense amount of talent that they have been endowed with. Let’s consider this analysis of Janhvi’s and Sara’s respective appearances on celluloid and maybe, you’ll be able to judge for yourself or simply agree with us that both are at par and will unarguably, shine through in the Hindi film industry.

Sara in a still from Kedarnath.
Kedarnath, to begin with, stars Sara opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and is a love story set in the backdrop of the catastrophic floods in 2013 in the Uttarakhand town. Stunning visuals form an integral part in the teaser of Kedarnath as Sara’s introductory scene, in itself, is a bold stance - a passionate kiss with Sushant and she pulls it off with absolute ease. Sara – Saif Ali Khan’s daughter with his former wife, actress Amrita Singh – bears a striking resemblance to her mother in most of the scenes.

In case you didn’t notice this, might as well consider watching the teaser again. Note the frame in which Sara coyly greets in an adab, ethereal in a yellow suit, or in the laugh that she shares with Sushant in the backdrop of the picturesque hills – Sara, effortlessly, leaves behind a whiff of Amrita Singh in the teaser of Kedarnath. Her expressions are impeccable and you have to give it to director Abhishek Kapoor for ensuring adequate screen time to the young actress in the teaser and also helping her emote meticulously – in the intense as well as the romantic moments – be it that smile, or the bashful beam, the sign of a long wait or the forlorn state.

If the teaser is as impressive sans dialogues, we cannot wait to imagine what the trailer will look like. Kedarnath will release on December 7. As for Janhvi, more is less if we were to discuss her magnificent debut with Dhadak. Her case is pretty much similar to Sara in the manner that Janhvi managed to allow fans to relive Sridevi on screen through her eternal charm. Replete in ethnic outfits, Janhvi put up a brilliant show in Dhadak – the official remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat. Romance, dance and Zingaat of course, Janhvi and co-star Ishaan Khatter made their fans skip a beat with every scene in Dhadak.

She delivered dialogues with absolute ease – so much so that it is highly possible to forget the fact while watching Dhadak that it’s Janhvi’s first film. We loved her jhatkas, matkas and thumkas in Zingaat as well – the breathtaking performance that she displayed in the dance song in the film. Dhadak earned well at the box office as well and Janhvi’s act was received well by critics as well.

She stars in Karan Johar's directorial Takht next, co-starring A-list stars - Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor.
For Takht though, we have to wait till 2020 and for now, we are longing for the trailer of Kedarnath and its subsequent release because most certainly, Sara has expectations to cater to but going by the looks of it, doesn’t seem to be a formidable task considering her stunning charisma on screen and off it as well.
