In wake of the recent #MeToo movement that shook Bollywood, filmmaker Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by actress Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay. Although he denied all allegations levelled against him, he was dropped as the director of Housefull 4. Now once again, in his reply to the notice sent by IFTDA (Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association), Sajid has stated that the accusations against him are false and requested the association to ‘not form any one-sided judgement”.
In his statement, as reported by a leading daily, Sajid has stated, “I apologise to IFTDA if any embarrassment has been caused to the association by the alleged accusation against me. These allegations have not only caused irreparable harm to my career but more importantly, grieved my mother and sister immensely. At the outset, I deny the complaints levelled against me as stated in your notice. I humbly request you to not to form any one-sided judgement. I am always happy to extend any cooperation to my association.”

Reportedly, post-Sajid’s response to the notice, a meeting has been scheduled by IFTDA on November 1 with him and Internal Complaints Council. The association has further requested Sajid to attend the scheduled meeting that he is "provided an opportunity before any disciplinary action is taken,” stated the daily.
Meanwhile, after several women came out in the open against Sajid, actresses like Bipasha Basu, Dia Mirza and Amrita Puri among others, also termed him as ‘obnoxious’ and ‘creep’.
