Priyanka Chopra recently celebrated her bridal shower with family and friends in New York's Tiffany’s Blue Box café. She opted for a strapless skirt dress from Marchesa's Spring 2018 collection with feather details and a cinched waist and we must say, PeeCee made for a stunning bride-to-be. However, the actress' beautiful dress caught itself in a controversy after it was revealed that her gown was from the American brand, co-owned by Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife Georgina Chapman.
Soon after her dress created a huge stir, Priyanka came out in defend of her decision and supported Georgina, who also happens to be her long-time friend. Speaking to a fashion website, the 36-year old stated, "Georgina's a friend of mine, and she has been. And it's not her fault. And I don't think it's right to take it out on a self-made woman what somebody in her life did. That's the wrong attitude. I've known her for years, and that was a beautiful gown and deserved to be worn by a bride-to-be. And it made me feel like a princess. It was the right choice."
"Women supporting women, that's what we're all about," she added.

Not to forget, Georgina's brand Marchesa, which was hugely popular among the A-list celebrities, was outcasted by Hollywood stars after Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual harassment by Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and other women. In fact before Priyanka, only Scarlett Johansson has opted for a Marchesa dress, which she wore at this year's Met Gala.
Meanwhile, Priyanka's bridal shower was attended by her close friends and family, including Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o, future mother-in-law Denise Jonas, mom Madhu Chopra apart from Neetu Kapoor and Sonali Bendre.
