Known for his unmatched comic timing, Bollywood actor Govinda was one of the most famous actors back in the 90s. But it would not be wrong to say that his stardom diminished over the years in comparison to his contemporaries like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and others. In fact, when he tried to get back into business, he accused his former friends, Salman and director David Dhawan, for not standing by him.
Moreover, Salman and Govinda hit a rough patch when the latter chided the Dabangg star for not giving his daughter, Tina Ahuja, a chance in Bollywood. They also did not work together after Partner, which was a hit at the box-office. However, now it looks like Govinda has decided to let bygones be bygones and claimed that he and Salman are "buddies."

The actor, who also made an appearance in the ongoing season of Salman's reality show Bigg Boss, told a leading daily, "We have a love-hate relationship, but we both back each other. I have enjoyed working with him, and have no qualms in sharing screen space with him again, if we get the right script."
Meanwhile, Govinda recently made his comeback to the silver screen with Varun Sharma starrer Fryday. Pointing out that the film was "declared a flop even before it released", he stated that "despite being a good film, FryDay didn't get many screens because the industry [production houses] made a presumption that Govinda's film won't work, or will only do a certain amount of business."
Last but not the least, the actor who will next be seen in Pahlaj Nihalani's Rangeela Raja, concluded by saying that he is "confident about his craft" and in a matter of time, his films will start doing the desired [level of] business.
