Abhishek Kapoor is finally a happy man. After a lot of hurdles, his film Kedarnath is finally approaching its release date on December 7. The film battled a change of production, then a couple of legal battles including a date problem with leading actress and debutante Sara Ali Khan and later on release date issues as it was clashing with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0. However, now the film’s teaser has been released and it has been much appreciated by one and all making Abhishek a delighted man indeed.
In a recent interview given to a leading daily, Abhishek bared his heart out about the project. Apparently, Kedarnath is the fastest film that he has made so far. It was shot in flat 59 days. He also spoke about his leading lady Sara who is making her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath but maintained the fact that he is not in the business of launching anyone and how it was he who suggested her name to Rohit Shetty for Simmba.

Talking about Sara he said, “The idea of making this film was not to launch anyone. I wanted to make Kedarnath and Sara was perfect for the project. Which of her films would come first never bothered me, what was important is that my film gets a good release.” He further added, “Sara is very happy, she’s given her best to the film. In fact, I was the one who called up Rohit and told him to consider Sara for his film after Kedarnath hit a rough patch with the earlier producer. I want Sara to be out there and do as much work as possible. So, when she mentioned that she would like to do Simmba, I connected with Rohit. But since I was launching her, he didn’t want to trespass. I assured him that I am not in the business of launching people, I’m here to make movies.”
