Tennis champion Sania Mirza and husband Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik welcomed their baby boy Izhaan Mirza-Malik on October 30, 2018. The proud father shared the news on his Twitter account and excitedly welcomed #BabyMirzaMalik as the little one was called by his parents before he was officially named.

Sania’s close friend choreographer-director Farah Khan also shared the happy news with her fans and followers on social media. Now, Sania who gave birth in Hyderabad’s Rainbow Hospital was discharged and we laid our hands on the first pictures of mother and son exiting the hospital and heading towards home.

Reportedly, Izhaan will be an Indian citizen like his mother Sania. However, the newborn’s parents will have to register his name with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to make him eligible to receive a passport from the Indian Government. Izhaan will not be able to share his father's Pakistani nationality as no Indian can hold dual-citizenship.
