Ranveer Singh’s and Deepika Padukone’s mehendi and sangeet ceremonies were made memorable by close friends and family in Italy on November 13. Only 40 guests have been invited for the wedding and the associated festivities as it is a private affair, a leading daily has reported, apart from providing several other inside details.
Mehendi was held on Tuesday afternoon while Ranveer and Deepika looked ecstatic in Sabyasachi outfits while the designer also marked his presence at the occasion. While Deepika dressed in a lehenga, Ranveer looked handsome in red. Apart from his tribe, Ranveer had applied mehendi on his palm as well and apparently got DeepVeer – the acronym with which the couple is fondly referred to by their fans – written.

The report also states that Deepika got emotional frequently but Ranveer was by her side. Before an elaborate lunch for the couple and guests, singer Harshdeep Kaur entertained with her famous numbers. Sangeet was held in the evening.
Ranveer and Deepika will marry in two weddings - a traditional South Indian-style wedding while Anand Karaj – the Sikh tradition – is expected to be held on Thursday.

After the wedding, Deepika and Ranveer will host two receptions – the first event will be held on November 21 in the actress’s hometown in Bangalore while the second event will be hosted by the couple on November 28 in Mumbai for their friends and colleagues from the film industry.
Deepika and Ranveer, co-stars of films Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, reportedly started dating in 2013.
