Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were joined in holy matrimony today in a beautiful Konkani style wedding ceremony at Lake Como in Italy. The couple solemnized their six-year-long relationship by taking their marital vows in front of immediate family members.

We saw glimpses of the wedding and the rituals in the videos and pictures shared on social media. Here’s a quick roundup of the serene and quaint wedding. The seating arrangements at the wedding were also nothing less than regal.

The Konkani wedding had a white theme and the décor was accordingly decorated. Ranveer made his grand entry at the wedding in a seaplane creating a whole new benchmark for all the future grooms.

The wedding had really tight security and no photos or videos were being allowed. However, some pictures were clicked by the paparazzi stationed outside the villa.

Ranveer wore a white and gold sherwani for the wedding and looked really handsome, whereas Deepika wore a red and gold silk saree.

The friends and family also stuck to the theme and Ranveer’s sister Ritika were clicked making a splash in a white-and-gold lehenga. Anisha Padukone, Deepika’s sister also wore a white and golden saree. Both the sisters looked resplendent at their siblings’ wedding. Ranveer’s father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Deepika’s Dad Prakash Padukone wore white too.

After the Konkani wedding, Deepika changed into a red-orange Kanjeevaram silk saree for her bidaai ceremony. The newlyweds hid behind oversized black umbrellas as they made their exit from the wedding venue. Deepika and Ranveer are hosting a lavish after-wedding party right now.

Tomorrow, the couple will once again get hitched according to the North Indian Sindhi style wedding. The theme of the wedding is red which means everything right from décor to the guests, everything will be red.

As per reports, Ranveer will don a Kanjeevaram sherwani designed by Sabyasachi and Deepika is reportedly going to wear a lehenga from the designer’s collection as well. However, let’s see whether they wear read too or choose some other colour.
