Finally, after six long years and an endless wait from their fans, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are officially husband and wife. The couple tied the knot yesterday in a South Indian Konkani style wedding and their Anand Karaj ceremony is happening right now.
Although no official pictures came out from the four-hour long Konkani-Brahmin ceremony yesterday we did manage to get a few pictures from the wedding. However, here is a throwback picture of the beautiful bride with her family from the Nandi Puja that happened at her home in Bengaluru before the nuptials in Italy.

In the picture, Deepika is seen wearing an orange salwar-kameez designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She is flanked by her sister Anisha Padukone who is wearing a pale pink ensemble and her mother Ujjala Padukone who is looking elegant in a bright orange and red saree. Former Badminton champion and Deepika’s father Prakash Padukone can be seen sitting next to his wife wearing off-white and gold. He has a traditional red scarf tied around his head.
The family is looking pensive at the same time quite emotional as they see the priest performing the puja ceremony. We’re sure they all must be counting the days to the wedding and looking forward to the big day in their lives as well as getting emotional for what it will eventually bring- a new life and a new family member in their midst. Here’s raising our glass to Ranveer and Deepika whose love stood the test of time.
