Akshara Hassan leaked pictures case: Tanuj Virwani did not turn up for police questioning

Bollywood actress and the younger daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, Akshara Haasan’s private photos were leaked online a few weeks back. The actress had lodged a police complaint regarding the same and now the Police are claiming to have reached the perpetrators.

Apparently, the main perpetrator is a well-known actress’ son who was in a relationship with Akshara and had her private photos. However, even though the police summoned him for questioning in the case, he did not turn up.

The Police suspect Tanuj Virwani in the case as Akshara herself claimed that he had her private photos. Akshara in her statement told the Police that in 2013 when she was in a relationship with him she had sent him the photographs. Tanuj is the son of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri. Akshara reasoned that Tanuj leaked the pictures because the relationship had turned sour.

The IP of the Twitter handle that was used for posting the photos has been located to Mumbai which points fingers at Tanuj as well. After the leak, Akshara had posted a tweet hoping that the police will nab the culprits soon.

Akshara in her tweet wrote that the leak was very disheartening and upsetting especially when the entire country has woken up to the #MeToo movement. She informed that she has approached the Police’s cyber cell and they will soon nab the perpetrators behind this horrendous crime.
