Newlyweds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh hosted their first wedding reception in Bengaluru on Wednesday night for their close friends and family. The reception, held at The Leela Palace, was nothing short of a grand affair and the couple made an elegant appearance together. While Deepika opted for a gold saree, Ranveer was handsome in a black bandhgala by Rohit Bal.

Before the wedding reception kick started, Ranveer and Deepika posed for photos for the media in the lobby, where a special stage was created. However, after clicking couple photos of them, the paparazzi present at the venue requested Ranveer and Deepika for solo photos as well. Hearing this, Ranveer quipped, "Miyan biwi saath hain, toh photo alag kyun?" What's more, a source informed an entertainment portal, "But he (Ranveer) was clear that he won't pose for solo pictures."

Apart from their families, seevral sportsperson including Venkatesh Prasad, Anil Kumble and PV Sindhu also attended the event.

Deepika and Ranveer married according to Konkani and North Indian rituals in Italy. The Konkani wedding was held on November 14 and the North Indian wedding, on November 15. The couple will host more two receptions, on November 28 for selected media and friends and on December 1 in Mumbai as well for the film fraternity.
